This Changes Your Next 6 Months

Hey Reader,

We’re halfway through the year.

And maybe you feel like things aren’t quite where you hoped they’d be.

You started strong in January—plans, goals, habits.
But somewhere between Q1 deadlines and life’s daily demands (and this happens to the best of us), the clarity of all of these faded.

Now June arrives like a mirror to ourselves.

And it asks: How’s it really going?

I find this to be a great opportunity to create a mid-year reset.

My Own Mid-Year Reset

Back in March, I had a stretch of weeks where everything felt off.

I was tired but wired. I was doing a lot—but not feeling like I was moving forward.

One night, I sat down and wrote this question in my journal:
“What do I want my days to feel like again?”

Not what do I want to achieve. Not what should I be doing more of.
But what do I want to feel like in my own life?

That was the turning point.

Since then, I’ve rebuilt my mornings with more quiet.
I’ve protected my creative work with real boundaries.
I’ve let go of projects that didn’t align—even when they looked impressive on paper.

I’m not doing more. I’m doing more of what matters.

If You’re Ready to Begin Again

Here’s a simple reflection I created for myself (and now for you, too):

1. What are 3 things that actually brought you joy, energy, or clarity this year?

We often overlook this. But success leaves clues.

Maybe it’s your morning routine, how you prep your week, or that one boundary you finally started enforcing.

Double down on what’s working.

2. What’s not working that I need to let go of?

That weekly meeting you dread, the goal that no longer excites you, the habit you’re forcing because it sounds productive—change things up or cut out things that no longer serve you.

3. If December-you wrote you a thank-you letter… what would they thank you for doing now?

This one helps me every time. Pick one or two outcomes. Clarify the “why.” Then reverse-engineer the system to make it happen.

Here’s to fresh starts in June.
And here’s to making the rest of the year the most meaningful part.

You’ve got time.
And you’ve got this.

To your success,

Laurie

🎥 Latest Video: How I Stopped Wasting My Evenings After Work

If your evenings feel like a blur of burnout and mindless recovery… I get it.

When I was in a high-pressure career, I’d come home feeling empty—scrolling through my phone, numbing out with Netflix, stuck in a loop that felt impossible to break.

I wanted more, but I didn’t know where to start.
Not more hustle. More life.

In this week’s video, I’m sharing the 7 things I stopped doing to reclaim my evenings—and how I slowly built a life I no longer feel the need to escape from, using the time I already had.

Want to Go Deeper?

If you’re ready to make this mid-year reset actually stick, here are a few resources I use and recommend:

1.Manage your to-dos with clarity

Use this super simple but effect Productivity Matrix to focus on what's important vs. urgent.

2. Remove distractions with this app.

Freedom logs me out of email and other website that are distracting while I get through my deep work sessions.

3. Rethink time with Oliver Burkeman

A refreshing reminder that time isn’t something to conquer—but something to live. This one always recenters me when I’m tempted to overschedule.
